Arrow Nose Rhinoplasty, Refine Droopy Nasal Tip to Improve Impression


We can call it as an arrow nose when the length of the nose is more than 1/3 of the face and when the nasal tip looks like an arrowhead due to overgrown cartilage. Ladies don't really prefer to have an arrow nose since it makes the nose looks longer and makes the face looks old.

For an arrow nose correction, make the droopy nasal tip higher and fix it with nasal septal cartilage or ear cartilage. The overall image can be improved by correcting the droopy nasal tip since an arrow nose makes the face looks longer.


Case (1) Arrow nose + Hump nose correction

è  These are the before arrow correction photos. In this case, hump nose correction is necessary with the correction since the patient has a droopy nasal tip with a bit of hump on the nasal tip. This type of nose shape gives a strong impression and makes the face looks longer and older.

The surgical method for the case, osteotomy of the hump area, and usage of cartilage and prosthesis for the droopy nasal tip is necessary. It helps to reshape the nose by smoothly connecting the nasal tip and the nasal bridge.  

 



Case(2) ‘Non-prosthesis rhinoplasty’

Demand requesting non-prosthesis rhinoplasty that has the natural-looking with the least possibility of having a side-effect has been increased continuously. The above patient had TS non-prosthesis rhinoplasty that uses nasal septum cartilage and ear cartilage instead of using any prosthesis. 



 

Osteotomy for hump nose + Arrow nose correction(none of the prosthesis was used)

 

The above patient also had an arrowhead nasal tip and hump nose at the same time. The nose shape can be improved only by raising the height of the nasal tip with nasal septal cartilage and ear cartilage after removing the hump area.

 



'Non-prosthesis rhinoplasty', the possibility of facing an infection is closed to 0%

Non-prosthesis rhinoplasty has little chance of having an infection or capsular contracture since it uses autologous cartilage instead of any artificial implant. It also lessens the feeling of irritation and makes the natural-looking nose shape.
